Amy has more than 30 years of experience litigating complex commercial and real estate disputes before state, federal, and appellate courts, arbitration panels, and mediators. Her wide variety of practice areas includes real estate, landlord and tenant, cooperative and condominium, construction, non-competition and trade secrets, shareholder and corporate governance, insurance coverage, commercial lending, and business tort disputes.
Amy also counsels individuals and corporations on general business, corporate, and contract matters including drafting and negotiating asset purchase agreements, corporate and business documents, employment, non-competition, and confidentiality agreements, licenses, distribution agreements, and commercial and residential leases. Her combined transaction and litigation experience gives Amy a unique perspective to better assist clients with identifying potential disputes early, minimizing liability, and developing strategies to achieve favorable outcomes, often with early cost-efficient resolutions.
Amy has been extensively involved in the New York City Bar Association and has worked to promote improved efficiency in New York State courts. She currently chairs the City Bar’s Committee on State Courts of Superior Jurisdiction and co-chairs the Court of Appeals Judicial Selection Working Group.
Amy also serves on the Programming Committee of the nonprofit organization Judges & Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert. She is passionate about supporting JALBCA’s mission of promoting awareness and providing support to all those touched by breast cancer.
Amy is a graduate of Brandeis University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
